Abatement Demolition Project: U of O Villard Hall

Client: University of Oregon

Scope of work: Abatement consisted of asbestos throughout the building, including floor tile, gypsum board/ joint compound, pipe insulation, and fire doors. Demolition of the third floor ceiling, and cleaning/disinfecting of rodent and bit feces within the attic.

Project description: Historic hall almost 150 years old undergoes upgrade. Demoed down to structural bone, Villard hall would be getting a structural upgrade to help support the building in any natural disaster. One of two historical buildings that the University of Oregon decided to renovate. Renovation included full interior gut out along with removal of all hazardous materials.
